Difference Between Journalism & Activism

Journalism is the investigation and reporting of events, issues, and trends to a broad audience. Besides covering organizations and institutions such as government and business, journalism also covers cultural aspects of society such as arts and entertainment. The journalists are supposed to give the coverage to the events taking place in their surrounding and to present the truth in front of the masses without adding any extra information from themselves.

Activism consists of intentional action to bring about social, political, economic, or environmental change. This action is in support of, or opposition to, one side of an often controversial argument. In contemporary use, "activism" tends to be a word associated with the actions and ideologies of those on the political left. Protest on the roads, writing letters to the newspaper and politicians. Some activist try to persuade people to change their behavior rather then persuade to government to change their rules this factor of activism is found very common in the religious group. The great example of activist people is Gandhi, Muammar Gaddafi and some other leaders. They are the people how who made a revolution in the world by their views, thoughts and ideologies to make the life of people calm and peaceful.
